Apex Legends will be released for mobile phones by the end of 2020
Game should have versions for Android and iOS
PUBG, Call of Duty and Fortnite will soon gain a possible strong rival in the disputed mobile segment. During an investor conference, EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced that the company plans to launch a version of Apex Legends for smartphones by the end of 2020.
Due to the success of the battle royale, already available on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4, it is natural that the publisher tries to grab a slice of the growing market for mobile games.
At the beginning of the year the company had already informed that the developer Respawn Entertainment – the studio behind Apex Legends – is working on a port for Nintendo Switch , therefore, taking the game to Android and iOS was a pretty sure way.

Another reason that may have led to such an EA decision is the fact that the game has lost some of its great initial popularity. Having the title present on all possible platforms helps to keep you alive.
The company did not give further details about the launch, so it may happen that availability was restricted to some regions at first, with an extended distribution in 2021.
It is worth remembering that the market for games for smartphones is one of the ones that generate the most revenue today – and the numbers keep growing. Research released by Sensor Tower identified PUBG Mobile as the most profitable mobile game in May. In total, users from around the world spent $ 226 million, equivalent to about R $ 1.1 billion – approximately 53% of revenue came from China, followed by 10.2% from the United States and 5.5% from Saudi Arabia. According to the survey, there was a 41% growth compared to the same period last year.
