Apex Legends will come to Steam and will have crossplay
It was revealed during EA Play 2020 that Apex Legends will come to Steam and will support crossplay. Check the details and release date.
During the live EA Play 2020, it was announced that Apex Legends will arrive on the Steam digital game distribution platform in October this year. In fact, this action is part of a larger game migration project from Electronic Arts to Valve’s online game store. An example of this is the recent arrival of The Sims 4, Titanfall 2, and more.
Developed by the studio Respawn Entertainment in partnership with EA, Apex Legends will not only be present from Steam but will also receive support for crossplay. In this way, the title will cover the Origin, Steam, Xbox One, PS4 platforms, and a new version for the Nintendo Switch. It is not yet known how Respawn will handle the differences between mouse + keyboard versus console control.
As with the release of Apex Subtitles on Steam, crossplay is expected to arrive between September 22nd and December 22nd.
About Apex Legends

Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends was originally released in early 2019 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. It is a battle royale published by Electronic Arts that supports up to 20 squads of 3 people on a single map. Players arrive on an island where they must search for weapons and supplies before starting combat with their opponents.
An interesting system of this battle royale is the fact that as time passes, the battle area on the map shrinks, forcing players to move or find a location outside the playing area. The team that is alive at the end of the round wins.
