Apple registers nine models of iPhone 12
Previous rumors indicated that the new Apple smartphone would come in four versions. Apple registers nine models of iPhone 12
The new iPhone 12, expected in September this year, can reach the market with more variants than traditional. That’s because Apple registered nine smartphones with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), all with different codes that usually identify different models of the cell phone. According to rumors, each code would represent a version of the successor to the iPhone 11.
The number is much higher than the previous information, which indicated the arrival of four new iPhones in 2020. In addition to the devices, EEC records also indicate the launch of a new iMac, identified as A2330.
Apple would be working on two simpler devices (A2176 and A2172), which would be the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and a larger version, the iPhone 12 Max, with 6.1-inch display – the same value as the current model version . The models would have the dual camera system at the rear. If the information is confirmed, it means that Apple has decided to expand the number of most basic models in the line to two.

All other codes would be versions of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models, all with a triple camera and more expensive among the likely launches. The largest would have a large 6.7-inch panel, considerably larger than the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max. Models with the nickname “Pro” would also continue to use an OLED display, against the simplest traditional LCD.
Before the release of the records, other rumors were already advancing some of the probable news of the new iPhones. In addition to the possibility that the iPhone 12 comes with Touch ID under the screen , replacing Face ID , the new line of Apple devices may have a design similar to the iPad Pro 2020 and with a smaller notch at the top of the screen.
