Batwoman will be replaced: Arrowverse fans on the CW channel were taken aback by Ruby Rose’s sudden departure from the Batwoman series. The actress gave no details, however, apparently, she left the attraction due to the intense workload, which came to compromise her health after a serious accident during the recordings. With that, the producers are running to find a replacement, who, above all, must maintain representation with the LGBTQ community, like the predecessor.
Now, according to Decider, the producers would have chosen to insert a new character instead of someone else to play the watchful Kate Kane. According to the ad description from CW actor recruiters, the attraction would have a new character to take on Batwoman’s mantle in Gotham City.

“A woman, in her 20s, of any ethnicity. She’s nice, messy, kind of goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the costume previously … With no one in her life to keep her on track, Ryan spent years as a drug dealer, evading the Gotham City Police Department and masking your pain with bad habits ”, says the description.
Batwoman will be replaced by another character, Ruby Rose is yet to appear in season two
The statement also requires that the replacement is from the LGBTQ community. “A girl who stole milk for a stray cat could also kill it with her own hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly qualified, uncontrolled and undisciplined. An open lesbian. Athletic. Gross. In love. Fallible. Nothing like the typical American hero. ”
These rumors change the direction of the show and frustrate some actresses who even applied for the role, such as Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jade Tailor (Magicians) , Wallis Day (Krypton) and Sonya Deville, WWE fighter. It is not yet clear how this new approach will fit into the plots of the second season, however, it is possible that Ruby Rose will return as a guest in some episodes to pass the baton and maintain the coherence of the story, as far as possible.
There are still no official words about it. Batwoman returns to the CW screens in January 2021.
