Cyberpunk 2077 brings reference to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, reveals demo
Check out 25 minutes of gameplay of the new RPG from CD Projekt Red
The CD Projekt Red released a generous demonstration of five hours of Cyberpunk 2077 to some media outlets and Gamespot managed to find a reference to the RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the game.
Although they did not record the moment when the games cross, the website described how CD Projekt Red mentioned Geralt de Rivia’s game in the futuristic RPG. The reference was found during one of the Cyberpunk 2077 missions released in the demo, which features parts of the game’s prologue.
One of the journalists on the site followed the initial story of the Corporate class, which puts V in the role of a spy within a Japanese company called Arasaka. In this role, the player is tasked by the evil boss to steal information from a company.
During the mission, the player must search the office of the large Japanese company, which includes finding records on executive desks and drawers. In one of the environments inside the company is V’s shared office, which has a reference to Geralt de Rivia’s game.

According to Gamespot , the main character’s table has several items, including a magazine about “retro games”. The publication covers several classic games from the past and, coincidentally, the title that was on the cover in the edition purchased by V is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
According to the website, the magazine has Ciri art on the cover, which can be seen in the image above. Interestingly, the character also makes reference to a Cyberpunk universe during dialogues in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. You can check the excerpt below, but it is worth mentioning that the video can be considered spoiler by more purist players.

In addition to revealing more details about the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, the five-hour demo released to a select group of content creators is yielding several gameplay videos with the game . Recently, the YouTube channel Punish posted 25 minutes of new footage of the game at 1440p , without comment.
The gameplay video starts showing in detail the section that accompanies V and Jack facing enemies by car. Next, we have images that appear in the trailer, as the protagonist in a nightclub and in an auto repair shop.
The video does not stop there and, after 14 minutes, shows a brief section of the deserted area of the Night City map and a meeting between V and the police. The rest of the gameplay shows the memory preview part, which appeared during the CD Projekt Red online event.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One . The game will arrive in the future for PS5 and Xbox Series X , in addition to having a confirmed version for Google Stadia.
