EA previews FIFA 21 and Madden 21 for PS5 and Xbox X Series
During EA Play 2020, EA previews FIFA 21 and Madden 21 for PS5 and Xbox X Series. In addition, the company promised a smooth migration between current and next-generation consoles.
During the live EA Play 2020, we were able to briefly see some images of some EA sports titles for the next generation of consoles. These are the FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 games, which will take advantage of the haptic feedback from the Playstation 5 DualSense controller, the super-fast loading times of this console, and the Xbox Series X.
According to EA Games, players will be able to expect more realistic movements, rich details of the climate, and the “behavior of the most authentic characters ever seen in sports games”. The company also promised that it will bring more realistic reactions from players, benches, and fans to the titles, giving them greater immersion and “providing an unprecedented experience on the journey”. The new deferred lighting system should make games more realistic as well.
FIFA 21 release date
It was also revealed by publisher EA that FIFA 21 will debut on October 9 for Xbox 360, Playstation 4 (PS4) and PC. As always, there will be two editions to choose from, the Ultimate Edition and the Champions Edition.
Migration between consoles
According to EA Games, both FIFA 21 and Madden 21 arrived on PS5 and Xbox Series X as soon as the consoles are released. For users of titles that purchase games for PS4 and Xbox One, a free update will be given to migrate to next-generation video games. The offer to get free games to migrate devices will end once FIFA 22 is released.

Cross-progression support for migration between video games
Something interesting that EA is working on is cross-progression, which allows the “saves” of FIFA 21 not to be lost in some game modes. In other words, it will be possible to leave PS4 for PS5 or Xbox One for Series X and continue exactly where the user left off.
FIFA 21 and Madden 21 will have cross-play?
It is not yet known whether FIFA 21 and Madden 21 will be able to count on cross-play to play games between the Playstation and Xbox One. This would be interesting, as the number of possible opponents would increase considerably.
