Subscription service from Electronic Arts Access, or simply EA Access, will be available to Steam users in the next semester.
Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) today launched the first batch of 25 EA games on Steam, with more to come.
Starting today, gamers can explore BioWare ™’s award-winning RPG Games – Dragon Age ™: Inquisition and Dragon Age II, drive at high speed in Need for Speed ™ Heat, Need for Speed: Rivals and Need for Speed ( 2016) and battle in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville ™.
A selection of games from EA’s independent development partners such as Unravel, Unravel II, Fe and Sea of Solitude will also be available.
In addition, these games and many more will be available as part of an EA Access subscription on Steam that will be released to everyone later this quarter.
“We want to make it easy to play the games you love, wherever you want to play. Delivering games to the Steam community is an important step towards achieving that goal,” said Mike Blank, senior vice president of strategic growth. “Not only are we excited to have our games on Steam, but we hope to add even more value when our subscription becomes available in the quarter.”
said Mike Blank, senior vice president of strategic growth.
EA’s new games developed for the PC will also be released on Steam along with other platforms, including the Command & Conquer ™ Remastered Collection, which will be released tomorrow, supporting Steam Workshop, as this game is one of the first major RTS franchises to make your source code available under the GPL.
The compilation, which was made for and with the help of the community, comprises Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and its three expansion packs – Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath.
EA Access offers members access to a broad portfolio of EA games, valuable benefits and discounts for members on full EA purchases, expansions and game items.
EA has been offering subscription services for at least 6 years and currently reaches users on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin ™ platforms. For more information about EA’s subscription services, visit www.ea.com/subscribe.
