Epic Games Store Reached 61 Million Monthly Active Users
Epic store continues to grow as a result of free games distributed and campaigns.
Epic Games Store has had a successful growth momentum since its debut. The most important factor in this growth process was definitely free games. Indeed, when we say free games, everyone will think of Epic Games Store.
Epic Games has recently run a marketing campaign called ‘The Vault’ to increase global awareness and gain new users. In this project, which lasted from May 14th to June 18th, important games that players can buy every week and keep in their libraries are given as a gift. These games are Grand Theft Auto V, Civilization VI, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Overcooked! Became Samurai Showdown NeoGeo Collection and ARK: Survival Evolved.

Eating the bread of this campaign, Epic Games managed to win new users. Moreover, while the instant active user record was broken, the number of active monthly users reached its peak. Steve Allison from the Epic Games Store made some remarks on the subject.
“Since we announced the Epic Games Store, we wanted to offer great things to players around the world and create a big event on the basis of games distributed in our weekly schedule. We invested to offer four of the world’s biggest games for free. ”
He added that at the end of this campaign, the results exceeded expectations and they grew at a historical pace in 2020. As a result of The Vault campaign, Epic Games Store reached 13 million concurrent users on PC. In addition, the number of active users per month rose over 61 million.
Given the success of the campaign, Epic Games is likely to continue offering great games for free in the future. This is definitely good news for PC gamers.
Should you be concerned about Steam, which has 95 million active players per month in 2019 and is increasing between 14 million and 20 million concurrent players every day?
