Google Camera is receiving through the Play Store a new update, version 7.4, with some important news, but not all improvements reach all smartphones of the company.
The most modified application today has just been updated.
There are versions available for almost all smartphones on the market today with Snapdragon processor.
With the 7.4 version of Google Camera arrived two new features that focus on improving the video recording section, adding a new quick setup for all Google Pixels and zoom 8X to who owns the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
The first news is that now if we are in the recording tab if we access your new quick settings menu, we find a new resolution selector. This allows us to quickly switch between FullHD and 4K resolution, without having to configure camera settings.
Obviously, enabling 4K resolution causes the frames per second adjustment options to disappear. Only with FullHD (1080p) resolution, you can select 30 frames per second or 60 frames per second.
4K pixel recording by default uses 30 frames per second. Earlier this year, rumors said that Google planned to add 4K recording at 24 fps to achieve a more cinematic finish, but during that time we have had no updates on the fact. Perhaps this is one of the new features of Google Pixel 5.
The second novelty of Google Camera 7.4 is exclusive to Pixel 4, that is, they have improved the zoom in video recording. We can now enlarge the image during recording up to 8x. For that, we will only have to make the tweezers gesture with two fingers.
Now, keep an eye on developers who modify the original version of Google Camera to bring the new features to other smartphones. Currently there are more than 20 different versions of the modified Google Camera, the current version is 7.3. Now let’s see how long it will take before the first developer releases version 7.4 of Google Camera for download.
