Google Meet will now bring blur and funds and more
Time goes by and Google goes after lost time. Why put an end to Hangouts that could have all this before all competitors? Now Google Meet will now bring blur and funds and more features.
Finally, one of the most requested features for regular users of Google Meet, the company’s popular video conferencing software, is the ability to blur the backgrounds of calls and also exchange them.
There are paid programs that connect to the webcam to do just that. Now, it seems that just like with Microsoft Teams and Zoom that already offer this feature, these extra programs will definitely be left out.
However, the information came with the indication “COMING SOON”, so if you try to use the feature today, you may not be able to. As with all the other features and functionality that have already come, there are first internal tests, then open tests for a limited number of people, and only then will everyone receive the update.
In fact, the good news is for everyone, whether users of Google Meet for computers or also users of the application on mobile devices.
The information came through an internal document that defines the next versions of GSuite, in it are the two entries:

“Blur and replace background (for mobile)” and “Blur and replace background (for desktops)”. The feature is described as the ability to “blur the background or replace it with an image or video on the desktop”.
However, it is worth noting that the document is subject to some caveats. New items are added approximately every three months and newly introduced features are removed, and the release list is not an official commitment and is subject to change without notice. Finally, the listed releases are not “guaranteed to be generally available and can be modified as they are”.
Other features are likely to launch at the same time, as Google Meet definitely replaces the previous Hangouts. Also in the same development group are moderation controls, the ability to dial an international phone number from a video call at Google Meet, cloud-based noise cancellation, breakout rooms, and board integration Google digital.
Google Meet is simple to use and offers a growing list of resources for millions of users who have had to adjust their work patterns as a result of the pandemic. The service that was previously paid for and which became free in May, seems to keep all the resources that will arrive for everyone.
