“Remove Chinese Apps” has been suspended for not complying with the Usage Policies for apps on the Google Play Store.
Google recently removed from the Play Store an application created in order to find and remove applications of Chinese smartphone users.
India-based “Remove Chinese Apps” has been suspended for violating Google’s Application Use Policy, which in part prohibits applications that “induce users to remove or disable third-party applications”.
OneTouch AppLabs, creator of “Remove China Apps”, tweeted about the suspension of Google Play last Tuesday.
As you can see, when advising about the removal of the app from the Play Store, the developer still gives a hint:
“It’s easy to find the origin of any application by searching on google by typing <Application name> country of origin. Stay tuned !! Stay safe !!”
A Google representative pointed to the company’s Fraudulent Behavior Policy, which does not allow apps that change a user’s device settings or features outside of the app without their knowledge and consent.
The move comes at a time of growing sentiment against China in India and growing tensions over a border dispute in the Himalayas. Many Indian celebrities have also recently supported the exclusion of Chinese apps, including TikTok.
Before it was suspended, “Remove Chinese Apps” had more than 5 million downloads since the end of May.
The app, when opened, scanned smartphones for Chinese apps and gave users the option to remove them. After all Chinese apps were removed, the app considered the smartphone clean and the following message was displayed …

“Congratulations. You are amazing, no applications from China were found.”
We are definitely going through difficult times in the world. A time when we should be more united, but many seem to prefer more and more to encourage separation.
