TikTok’s ratings within the Play Store have been hugely affected, that’s why Google did something about it.
It is obvious that TikTok is not liked by all people, mainly because it is something new that has gone viral and that can be seen even in the soup and not everyone “understands” it and that strange rejection of something that does not harm No one has made the ratings for this app .
YouTube vs TikTok
Siding with this absurd video platform war is basically a waste of time. Each platform offers different things and are aimed at different audiences. But it seems that there are people who do not understand that the application market is enriched by competition and began to negatively rate the application in the Google Play Store .
And it seems that now, thanks to Google, the rating of this app has gone up a bit. It removed about 5 million negative ratings from the store .

It is not that silence the opinions of users is the correct answer, but it is true that many of the low ratings that occur are only on a whim and not for real problems with the application .
Currently, TikTok is rated 1.6 stars out of 5 possible, but before Google erased those negative ratings, the app had 1.2 stars only .
Apparently these reviews were removed because people only downloaded the app to rate it and then immediately uninstalled it. Which could demonstrate that they only lowered it to affect the rating without even having used it.
Don’t get me wrong, it also bothers me to see TikTok videos everywhere and with terrible quality in every way, but that doesn’t mean that we should behave like children and attack something just because we don’t like it.
It is certainly an interesting case study of market behavior and the public’s response to products .
