Apple announced Wednesday (19), the arrival of new features that will be implemented in iOS 15 next operating system version of the iPhone, which will be revealed by the giant of Cupertino at WWDC in June this year, although the final version the iOS 15 should be released only in September, along with the iPhone 13. this year the company is committed to bringing more inclusion for their devices, adding new accessibility features in their operating systems.
Accessibility functions
The news announced this week by the company were designed for people with disabilities, whether motor, visual, hearing or cognitive, thus allowing these users to have at their disposal new features aimed at accessibility on the brand’s devices, such as iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch ; all platforms will receive updates that enhance the experience of using the system.
IPadOS will offer support for third-party eye-tracking devices, so the user who has motor difficulties will be able to use eye movements to guide a cursor and use the laptop. In addition, the company will also add the so-called ‘VoiceOver’, a screen reader that will make an audio description of the content being displayed on the device.

The brand said on its website that it will add support for two-way hearing aids, using the microphone integrated into these devices to allow hearing impaired people to have conversations on speakerphone and FaceTime

AssistiveTouch
This functionality is aimed at Apple users who have an Apple Watch, the company’s smart watch and which is constantly receiving news. In watchOS, the ‘AssistiveTouch’ feature will be implemented, in which it will be possible to carry out some commands on the smartwatche without having to touch the screen . The novelty will use the wearable sensors – such as heart rate reader, accelerometer and gyroscope, for example – to identify muscle and tendon movements in the arm, allowing to navigate using movements in the upper limbs.
Among the commands that can be performed through AssistiveTouch, some stand out: answering or refusing calls, control a movement pointer on the screen and access the Notification Center, the Control Center and much more.
