iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max cameras will get an ultrawide camera with autofocus
Renowned analyst Kuo has released new information about the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max cameras; more elements and an ultrawide camera with an autofocus system. Check out!
Much is expected of Apple’s next-generation smartphone, and in addition to the new reduced-size front notch, new rumors are beginning to suggest changes to the back of the device. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo is in the habit of revealing details in advance. This time around, he suggests that the manufacturer will use an ultrawide lens with an autofocus system in this year’s Pro models lineup.
According to him, this novelty will apply exclusively to the more complete variants, such as the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Kuo says the company has been considering making major changes to the models’ camera set, and as nothing official has been revealed by Apple, this project may indeed be underway.
iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max cameras with Auto Focus: What Changes?

Currently, iPhones’ ultrawide lenses have only a fixed focus system, which greatly limits their use when users change the main object of the image and leaves the photo focused on a single point.
By replacing it with an ultrawide autofocus camera, the user gains the possibility to touch a point of the image to set the focus, exactly what happens with telephoto lenses and which is well demonstrated by smartphones that use the Android system.
Team reinforced
Kuo continues to talk about Apple’s improvements to the next generation of flagships, and in this case, he claims that the top-of-the-line models will feature six elements instead of the five that are currently displayed. We can expect a more complete set if that happens, providing new features when capturing images or recording videos.
It is important to point out that the arrival of the iPhone 12 has already brought great improvements in photos that use the ultrawide lens, mainly due to the special Night Mode and Deep Fusion modes. If these new features were really adopted by Apple, for now, they should appear only in the Pro and Pro Max models, however, it is believed that all models in the line from 2022 onwards will have these features.
When does the iPhone 13 arrive?
As already stated at the beginning of this article, the arrival of the iPhone 13 will be marked due to the notch (on notch) under the display, which will make the look more compact and will increase the use of the screen. Although everything is settled under rumors, the expectation is that Apple will finally announce the iPhone 13 series sometime during the second half of the year, possibly in the month of September.
