LG partners exclusively with Twitch and brings the platform to its TVs

-

LG announces new partnership, LG partners exclusively with Twitch the game streaming platform. The company promises a unique experience for players who use their TVs.

LG Electronics do Brasil announced today that the Twitch app will be exclusively on the brand’s televisions. This was due to a partnership made with the game streaming platform and the South Korean company to bring a differentiated experience during live game broadcasts. The novelty will be present in the UHD, NanoCell, and OLED models that have the operating system WebOS 3.5 or higher.

According to the general manager of television products at LG, Igor Krauniski, the gamer market was one of those that achieved the most significant growth during the quarantine forced by Coronavirus (COVID-19). With this integration, the company intends to bring more benefits to its users and make it a differential in relation to the competition.

LG TVs have several features that meet the needs of the most regular players, having one of the lowest indices of input lag and response time on the market, thus providing greater fluidity and dynamics during “gambling”. In the case of OLED televisions, the response time is only 1ms (milliseconds), in addition to having exclusive integration with Nvidia’s G-Sync, technology present in most video games.

In addition to the features mentioned above, LG TVs also have HDMI 2.1 inputs, which bring the possibility of playing games in 4K with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
