Apple MagSafe wireless charger is compatible with Galaxy Z Fold 2
a Reviewer finds that the Apple MagSafe wireless charger is compatible with Galaxy Z Fold 2. Check out how it happened!
A week ago Apple announced at its event its new line of smartphones, the iPhone 12 series. But it was not only the news about cell phones during the event, it was also presented a new wireless charger called MagSafe. The new charger is capable of providing 15W of power to recharge iPhones from 8 to the latest models.

Theoretically, the MagSafe charger is capable of charging any device that is compatible with Qi technology, however, the proper positioning and fixing will not work with all smartphones. A reviewer had a chance to run tests with MagSafe and found that the charger is compatible with the Galaxy Z Fold 2. However, Max Weinbach realized that the magnets on the Samsung phone are not as strong as on the iPhone, that is, do not try hanging the phone from the South Korean manufacturer via the charger.
Another point discovered about using MagSafe with the Galaxy Fold 2 is the battery charging speed. Unfortunately, the charger developed by Apple does not recharge the battery of the Samsung smartphone quickly.
About MagSafe
Apple has been using MagSafe power connectors since 2006 in its notebooks. The design used magnets to hold the adapter and users found it a very safe and convenient solution. However, after 10 years, Apple decided to discontinue MagSafe (the first Macbook without MagSafe was launched in late 2016).
In 2019 Apple got rid of MagSafe completely and switched completely to USB -C on their notebooks.
