Panasonic sells its first Bluetooth TWS in-ear headphones, the RZ-S500W, and RZ-S300W. Check its features and prices.
A few months ago, during CES 2020, Panasonic announced its first Bluetooth TWS headphones. Now the company has finally started marketing its new True Wireless headphones, which promise to be a cheaper alternative and with attractive features compared to Apple’s Airpods.
Panasonic has launched two TWS headphones, the RZ-S500W, and the RZ-S300W, where the first comes with active noise canceling (ANC), such as the Sony WF-1000XM3 and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, and the second has a passive noise cancellation (natural in-ear headphones ). According to the company, its new TWS headset with ANC has the market’s leading technology for active noise cancellation for fully wireless in-ear headphones, combining FeedFoward Noise Canceling, Feedback Noise Canceling and hybrid Analog / Digital processing.
According to the company, the combination of the technologies mentioned above manages to reduce the noise generated inside and the earphone of the headphones, resulting in an above average sound quality.

In addition to ANC, Panasonic’s new Bluetooth wireless headsets have the ability to block or allow ambient noise to pass through the headsets, thereby improving the quality of phone calls when necessary and helping the user to pay more attention to ambient sounds in scenarios that represent some risk, for example, in the center of a city with a large flow of cars.
Both the Panasonic RZ-S500W and the RZ-S300W can be controlled by touch to, for example, activate the Google Assistant, Siri, or Alexa virtual voice assistant (it will be available in a few months). Both are also IPX4 certified, which provides splash resistance for cases of exposure to rain or sweat.
In terms of connectivity, it is not said which Bluetooth version the headphones have or the wireless audio codec used.

The battery of the RZ-S500W lasts up to 6 hours with ANC activated (in the case of the RZ-S500W) and 20 hours if added to the battery of the charging case. In the case of the RZ-S300W headphones, there is 6h of continuous playback and up to 20h adding to the case battery.

It is not known about the sound quality, but the Panasonic used a dynamic driver (DD or dynamic driver ) 6mm in the RZ-S300w model and a DD 8mm in the RZ-S500W model.
The TWS RZ-S500W Bluetooth headset hits the US market for $ 289 while the RZ-S500W comes for $ 129.
