Microsoft unveils games optimized for Xbox Series X: check the list
Games with the “optimized” seal will use maximum console performance
Microsoft revealed the full list of games that will come with the certificate ” Optimized for Xbox Series X “, an indicator that the game will take full advantage of the power the next-generation console has to offer. Titles featured in the list can benefit from reduced load times (thanks to Xbox Velocity Architecture), enhanced and realistic visuals with DirectX raytracing and higher frame rates of up to 120 FPS.
According to the company, games with the “Optimized for Xbox Series X” label may include new games created natively for the Xbox Series X, such as Halo Infinite, or previously released games that have been optimized to take advantage of console features, such as Gears 5.
Microsoft has so far listed a total of 22 games but has already announced that it plans to increase that number in the coming weeks and months before the official launch of the Xbox Series X. Check out the full list of games optimized for the console below:

Games that have been optimized for the Xbox Series X use the hardware and software features of the new console to offer higher and steady frame rates, with a performance target of 60 frames per second in 4K resolution. Some games may even support frame rates of up to 120 FPS or variable refresh rates , allowing developers to offer players increased realism and more precise controls for fast-paced actions, according to Microsoft.
One of the games that received optimization for the Xbox Series X is DiRT 5 . The game experienced an improvement in the frame rate and promises to offer a smoother and more responsive gameplay.
” Being able to play it [DiRT 5] with 120 FPS options on the Xbox Series X is incredible. […] Players will experience the strongest sense of speed and responsiveness at the highest frame rate,”
said David Springate, technical director of Codemasters.
