There is great anticipation behind this new Riot Games game, Valorant. After all, she is the creator of the League of Legends (LoL) phenomenon. Check the Minimum requirements to run Valorant on PC!

Valorant will be the next multiplayer, free-to-play FPS (first-person shooter) game that Riot Games will launch. It is believed that the new game will follow the same principle of League of Legends (LoL), the first title released by the studio, that is, there will be microtransactions inside to generate revenue for the company.

The North American studio Riot Games, was founded in 2006, by Brandon “Ryze” Beck and Marc “Tryndamere” Merril. The first game to be released by the company was League of Legends: Clash of Fates, in 2008. However, in 2009 the company ended up releasing the title only as League of Legends.

Developed by the studio Riot Games, Valorant is an FPS (First-person shooter) game that consists of bringing features that resemble Counter-Strike (CS) and Overwatch. In the game we will have different characters, where League of Legends characters will not be used, and each character has a unique, exclusive ability. In addition, the title uses the graphics engine developed by Epic Games, the Unreal Engine 4.

But why would there be a bit of CS and Overwatch? Through gameplays we could see that it is an agile, tactical shooting game with several weapons, but at the same time, it has a hint of Overwatch, a fantasy side, where the characters have powers to attack each other.

In October last year, Riot Games even introduced Valorant as Project A. There were promises for the game as a global infrastructure to avoid high ping and crashes during the game, in addition to an anti-cheat system . It is expected to be fulfilled as promised.

Launch and availability:

Valorant had its closed beta launched on May 5, 2020, and ended the testing phase on May 28. On June 2nd Valorant was officially released, in its stable version, and released to everyone.
