MIUI 12 now allows you to control the volume of each application

A new feature was found in the Chinese beta of MIUI 12. From now on, users can control the volume of each application separately.

Xiaomi has implemented a new feature in beta Chinese MIUI 12, its new proprietary interface made official in April this year. From now on, users can control the volume of each application separately, something that makes the user experience even better, especially for those who watch many videos and spend hours playing games.

This new function allows the user to adjust the sound of a given app without affecting the others, being similar to the Windows “Mixer”. The operation is very simple: in addition to showing the general volume control after pressing the side buttons, the interface now displays an option to adjust the audio separately from the desired app.

For the tool to be shown, it is necessary to activate it manually in the system settings, more specifically in the area of sound and vibration adjustments. The feature can be used as follows: press one of the side buttons and touch the music icon located in the left corner of the screen. That done, just control the audio of each application.

In addition to the new volume controller, MIUI 12 also offers several interesting news, such as “Super Wallpaper”, greater privacy, virtual assistant, and more.

It is worth remembering that the stable version of MIUI 12 is now available for some smartphones, such as Mi 9, Redmi K20 / Mi 9T, Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9 T Pro, Mi 10 Youth, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Xiaomi is yet to distribute the new interface to forty more models, so the work is just beginning.
