The next foldable smartphone from Motorola, which has been called Motorola RAZR 2, can be launched with a larger display of 6.7 “, the same value found on the Galaxy Z Flip.
Everything indicates that Motorola is preparing to launch the successor to RAZR 2019, the brand’s first foldable smartphone made official in November last year. Recently, information about the specifications of this device has emerged, but nothing has been said about the screen. Fortunately, that has just changed.
Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Consultants (DSCC), revealed that the external and internal screens of the Motorola RAZR 2 will be larger than those of the current model, which measures 6.2 “and 2.7”, respectively.
According to the executive, Motorola’s next foldable has a 6.7 “main display, the same size found on the Galaxy Z Flip, which is expected to be the main competitor. Ross said the secondary screen will also increase, but did not mention exact numbers.
Possible Motorola RAZR 2 specifications:
In addition to the 6.7 “display, possibly P-OLED, the RAZR 2 should be launched with a Snapdragon 765 processor with support for the 5G, a big improvement over the predecessor that brought Snapdragon 710. Closing the set, there is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, as we saw in the RAZR 2019, only a single 48MP rear sensor is expected, while the front sensor adds up to 20MP.
To keep the device on, it appears that Motorola has inserted a 2,845 mAh battery, slightly better than the 2,510 mAh battery found in the first generation RAZR. In software, Android 10 will be installed at the factory.
Rumors suggest that the RAZR 2 will be launched in September and can be sold in China and North America. There is still no information on prices. We will wait for other leaks to learn more details about the next Motorola folding.
