Need For Speed Heat gets crossplay between PC, PS4 and Xbox One
Need For Speed Heat will be the first EA game with crossplay between platforms and the novelty can be seen tomorrow
Electronic Arts will start to remove the wall that exists between players of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC of Need for Speed Heat, inserting the game in the world of crossplay. The novelty comes shortly after Sony has given up on holding online gaming on its console, letting its players find more players.
This is the first title from EA, which owns other famous franchises such as FIFA, Battlefield and The Sims , which allows players to meet in a common location and whether they are on an Xbox One, a computer or on PlayStation 4 It seems strange, but until 2019 this union was not possible and the culprit was Sony .
It was in October last year that the Japanese company finally allowed all developers to include crossplay within the games released for the PS4. This only happened after a lot of fighting within Fortnite , but it benefited a whole universe of other games, as it already happens in games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (and Warzone ), Minecraft , Rocket League and Paladins .
In Need for Speed Heat, crossplay will be possible on PC only via a game purchased on Origin, EA’s own sales platform, or on Steam . The novelty will arrive from June 9 in the form of updating Need for Speed Heat on all platforms. To play in multiplayer with other players from other consoles or from the PC, it is necessary to activate crossplay within the search for a match.
