New Sonos app can now be downloaded on Android and iOS devices
After confirming the end of support for older devices in search of updating its product line, the manufacturer of sound accessories Sonos officially announced today the arrival of the new version of its Sonos app, the Sonos S2 which is now available for Androi and iOS with support for the latest lines.
According to the manufacturer, the novelty “will drive the next generation of Sonos products and experiences”, supporting the current and future generation by supporting high-resolution audio and advanced sustainability features.
According to information that had already been anticipated by the site “The Verge” in mid-March, the application allows for high resolution audio while the previous devices are limited to audio playback without loss of CD quality.
It is worth remembering that recently, the brand made Sonos Arc official as the first speaker with Dolby Atmos on board, showing thus reinforcing the need for a new device control system.

Additionally, we also have confirmation that for the purpose of displaying in stores and user interface, the application will only be called “Sonos“, with the application for use in previous generations renamed to Sonos S1, and maintenance is therefore maintained by updates to safety.
However, novelties should not be incorporated into the version for previous generations, and should be discontinued over time, while your customers update their setups and start using accessories compatible with the new application.
