Developers at CD Projekt Red say that Night City, the setting for the Cyberpunk 2077 game, will have more than 1000 NPCs with unique daily routines(NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077 will have unique routines).
The CD Projekt Red studio intends to take Cyberpunk 2077 AI (Artificial Intelligence) to a whole new level. According to information published on Reddit from interviews with game developers, the new artificial intelligence systems will allow for surprising dynamism. There will be more than 1,000 NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077 with unique daily routines in the six districts of Night City with a wide variety of physiognomies with traces of cyborg implants.
This information is not really a surprise, since in 2016, when CD Projekt RED requested a donation from the Polish government (which was received), their ambitions for the project to create the city for the game were exposed, where it said:
“Comprehensive technology for creating large-scale ‘living’ cities that can be reproduced in real time, based on the principles of artificial intelligence and automation, and takes into account the development of innovative processes and tools that support the creation of high quality with open worlds. “
We were able to check out some examples of dynamic AI in Cyberpunk 2077 through game scenes. The artificial intelligence system makes people working, talking, fighting and even killing themselves, making Night City look like it is alive.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 17, 2020 for Playstation 4 (PS4), Xbox One and PC platforms. An event about the game is scheduled for June 25th.
