Nvidia may launch RTX 3000 series in September with RTX 3080 and 3090 models
This week, pictures of the possible look of Nvidia’s new video card series were leaked , indicating a drastic change in design with an elaborate cooling system. The modifications could still be expensive for the consumer, since this new system alone would cost the manufacturer around US $ 150, a very high value. In addition, it was said that a version for enthusiasts, the 3090, was also being prepared and could occupy the post of the Titan line.
Now, sources on the Igor’s Lab website not only confirm the variant for enthusiasts, but also point to a possible launch in September, with the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 models coming first. Both are expected to make use of the GA102 chip, based on the new Ampere architecture announced last month , although they bring significant differences between them.

The information indicates that the plates would be in the design testing phase, considering that the leaked look is not confirmed to be the final version, undergoing further analysis before having its mass production started in August, with the launch being then carried out In September.

Even if the new rumors are reinforced by the fact that stocks of the RTX 2000 series are already being reduced, caution is still needed. The new design, and especially its nomenclature, are still quite uncertain, especially when we consider that the same occurred with the previous generation, which was for a long time called the GTX 1100.
In any case, it is almost certain that we will see news from Nvidia very soon, as a way to combat AMD’s advances in the market, which has already confirmed the arrival of its Big Navi and other GPUs with RDNA 2 architecture for some time in the second semester, even before the launch of the new generation of consoles.
