Poco M2 Pro receives new certification in India
The Poco M2 Pro receives new certification, the Chinese brand’s next intermediary has been certified by the BIS of India. Apparently, it will be a renamed version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Recently, C Manmohan, general manager of Poco, said that a new smartphone from the brand will be launched next month. Although it has not been confirmed, everything indicates that this device is the Poco M2 Pro, which should hit the market as a renamed version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Now, with a few weeks to go before the launch event, Poco’s next premium intermediary has been certified by BIS India. The document reveals the model number “M2003J6CI”, the same one found on the Xiaomi India website in May, something that confirms its existence.
The folks at XDA Developers also detected that same number (and the code name “gram”) in the source code for the Redmi Note 9 Pro kernel, strongly suggesting that it is a renamed version. It is worth remembering that the Poco M2 Pro has already had two other certifications issued, that is, Xiaomi is in the process of finalizing the device.

There is still no information on prices, but taking into account that this smartphone will be practically identical to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is an intermediary, it is speculated that it will cost less than USD $ 260.
The leaks did not reveal the specifications of the Poco M2 Pro, but given that we are talking about a renamed version, we can already get a sense of the hardware chosen by Xiaomi.
What to expect from the Poco M2 Pro
Poco’s next premium intermediary should feature a 6.67 “IPS LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and 20: 9 aspect.
Inside, we have the Snapdragon 720G processor, combined with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage.
In the camera department, there are four sensors at the rear, the main being 64MP, the secondary wide-angle 8MP, the tertiary macro 5MP and the quaternary depth 2MP. The front camera adds up to 16MP.
To keep the Poco M2 Pro on, a 5.020 mAh battery with 30W fast charge is expected. In software, Android 10 will be installed at the factory.
