Pokémon Snap a classic of the N64 is coming to Nintendo Switch in a new version!

The Pokemon Company has announced a new Pokémon Snap a classic of the N64 that will be released soon for the Nintendo Switch console. Check out what’s new in this title based on the classic released for Nintendo 64 in 1999.

What many Pokemon fans expected is happening, Pokemon Snap is back. The title was originally released for the Nintendo 64 (N64) console and consisted of taking pictures of pokemons in motion in different habitats. It was recently announced that a new title in the series is on its way to the Nintendo Switch and its development is being done by the Bandai Namco studio.

Called the New Pokemon Snap, the game was announced through a trailer revealed by The Pokemon Company. According to the NintendoEnthusiast website, some features of the new game have been released which you can check out below.

  • See a different side of Pokémon in a new photo adventure, only on Nintendo Switch.
  • Research various Pokémon in their natural habitats and capture Pokémon behaviors that you have never seen before.
  • Explore unknown islands with landscapes like lush jungles and tropical beaches along your journey.
  • Take pictures in the game to create your own Pokémon Photodex.

A brief description of New Pokemon Snap by Nintendo has also been made available. See below:

“Travel to unknown islands with beautiful scenery, such as lush forests and sandy beaches. The Pokémon photos you take will be used to create your own Pokémon Photodex! This brand new game brings the gameplay of the 1999 Pokémon Snap game to life on the Nintendo 64 system on the Nintendo Switch system with unknown islands to discover and different Pokémon to see!

Photograph wild and animated Pokémon in their natural habitats while researching and exploring unknown islands. Travel through a variety of environments, such as beaches and jungles, to capture Pokémon behaviors never seen before. The photos you take can also be used to fill your Pokémon Photodex! “
