The fact that there is a ROG Phone III in development was revealed by Qualcomm itself when it listed several manufacturers using the Snapdragon 865 processor.
Now, although Asus remains discreet about what its next gamer smartphone will bring, a new report reveals some interesting information about the company’s gamer smartphone.
First seen under the code ASUS_1003D, the ROG Phone III appeared on the list of devices on the Geekbench. The list indicates that the Asus smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 865 processor and 12GB of RAM.
Their numbers were also exposed, delivering 910 and 3,229 in single-core and multi-core tests on the Geekbench CPU, respectively. For comparison, the OnePlus 8 scored 914 and 3,558, while the new Xiaomi Mi 10 scored 900 and 3,255 in the same tests.
Another version appeared about a month ago bringing 8GB of RAM, punctuating just below the numbers above. As expected. The reason is simple to have more than one smartphone scoring with the ROG Phone III, we do not have the “plus” variant of the Snapdragon 865 on the market, as it happened last year with the ROG Phone II .
In addition, another leak brought the information that the ROG Phone III is also in the Wi-Fi Aliance database, showing the version of Android 10, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast support.
And while we understand that these are features that are not surprising at first, it helps us gather the information.
Speaking of the ROG Phone II ( Roda Liso ), the smartphone is still one of the best gaming smartphones you can buy today. Bringing pressure-sensitive Air Triggers to the upper edges, along with the Snapdragon 855 + and a 120Hz LCD screen. The smartphone is still a monster in performance.
But what really stands out is its huge 6,000 mAh battery, support for a variety of gaming accessories, and the ability to adjust all CPU and GPU cores.
Let’s stay tuned to see what else Asus will bring to the ROG Phone III.
