Sony promises a completely redesigned PS5 interface
Check out what Sony’s vice president of UX design on PlayStation said about the new Playstation 5 user interface! (Sony promises a completely redesigned PS5 interface)
Last week, during Sony’s “PS5 – The Future of Gaming” event, he demonstrated the Playstation 5 briefly. Now, Matt MacLaurin, Sony’s vice president of UX design on PlayStation, according to TheVerge, says a fully revised user interface for the PS5 is being made.
According to Matt, in a topic on Linkedin, the new PS5 interface will be:
“A very interesting evolution of the operating system.”
According to the vice president of design, we will have one:
“100% revision of the PS4 user interface and some very different new concepts. As a user interface, it is primarily practical, but it is a totally new visual language and a complete re-architecture of the user interface. The new PS5 OS is more subtle than flashy, but no pixels have been left untouched. “
According to Matt, soon the new operating system for Playsation 5 will be shown. During last week’s event, Sony showed off several Easter Eggs from the PS5 operating system, ending with the reveal of the console’s final appearance.
While Sony promises a total change in the interface of its operating system to the PS5, Microsoft is taking a different path. The Xbox developer’s focus is to optimize its existing interface, keeping it as familiar as possible to what we already have on Xbox One.
Matt still reveals during the answers the questions that the Playstation fans asked him saying:
“This [hardware] is also customizable in ways that previous generations were not.”
At the end he still says that maybe there is a black version of the PS5 and that there will be a special edition for everyone.
