    Video shows 120W Xiaomi charger

    -

It seems that the “Super Charge Turbo” technology, introduced by Xiaomi last year, is now more powerful. That’s because a video showing a 120W Xiaomi charger was found on Weibo.

Xiaomi has been working on a new fast-charging technology since last year. Called “Super Charge Turbo”, the company promises no less than 100W of power, being able to recharge a 4,000 mAh battery in just 17 minutes. The Chinese brand says that the novelty may be launched later this year.

We now know that the system may have been upgraded – or even a more powerful alternative. That’s because a video was posted on Weibo showing a 120W Xiaomi charger. We can see that this accessory is considerably larger than other models available on the market, in addition to having a white body and a non-folding American plug.

According to the specifications printed on the charger, it supports the following powers: 20V 6A, 20V 5A and 11V 6A. It is worth remembering that Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, previously explained that the 100W “Super Charge Turbo” uses high voltage. Therefore, the power indications corroborate this information.

Anyway, we still cannot confirm the veracity of the video, but considering that Xiaomi has already made it very clear that it works on 100W fast charging technology, it would be no surprise to see that the company also intends to offer 120W.

Perhaps both options will be launched in 2020, debuting on the next top-of-the-line smartphone of the brand: until then called Mi Mix 4. Allegedly, this device should reach the market with a Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz update, Snapdragon 865 processor, 4,500 mAh battery, front camera under the screen and Samsung ‘s new 150MP sensor.
