Xiaomi will temporarily stop the MiUI 12 development and deliver

Xiaomi reported in its official forum that the update and distribution of MIUI 12 for all Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones will be temporarily suspended.

If you are a fan, you already know what it is about. We don’t have a problem here with the MiUI 12, nor anything about Android 10 compatibility.

The question is much simpler than that. The development and distribution of MiUI 12 will be suspended due to the traditional Dragon Boat Festival which is one of the largest cultural festivals in China.

So during the period from June 26th to July 3rd everything stops in China, including the development and distribution of MiUI 12.

It is worth mentioning that, recently, Xiaomi released the version 6.15 update of MiUI 12 for some users. Sometime after the update, the Xiaomi community forums were filled with complaints about lowering the speaker volume level after installing the firmware.

According to some users, the speaker volume on their smartphones was lower than it was before when they were running version 5.24. Xiaomi quickly launched an investigation to resolve the issue. After all, the whole purpose of development is to provide feedback.

The company must respond quickly to this feedback. MiUI engineers contacted users who had this problem and even made a scheduled home visit to compare the sound of the devices affected by the update.

Interestingly, the volumes remain the same. The engineers took the smartphones to the company’s anechoic room and the results were still the same. Maybe at first the sound may have become lower and then it just returned to normal.

But, dear Xiaomi fan, rest assured, after July 3, everything is back to normal in China and the development and distribution of the MiUI 12 will return to eligible smartphones.
