Zoom will make end-to-end encryption available to all users starting in July
The Zoom group video call program is finally about to receive the necessary security upgrade (Zoom will make end-to-end encryption available to all users). It is the implementation of end-to-end encryption, which is expected to be made available in July, in a beta version of the multiplatform software.
An important point of this update is that, contrary to what it had promised previously, Zoom will not have this security option available only to paid users , but everyone who downloads will have access to this dense layer of data protection.
During the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, several corporations changed their work style to a home office, causing employees to be forced to use online media to stay on top of important issues to achieve a particular goal.
In this sense, video calls were the most attractive option, either for keeping the communication “eye to eye” or for the ease in showing some information that would be easily misunderstood in another type of contact, especially via telephone where the way of expressing yourself may be different. of the real focus of the message.
Several programs stood out, but Zoom ended up being the one that became more popular, quickly multiplying the user base and problems. It did not take long for the multiplatform program to begin to face the reality of the internet, showing several vulnerabilities that quickly affected its use.

With that, the company’s developers started working on a new security technology that would protect users’ data and at the same time be a long-term investment. Focusing on that, Zoom was able to implement an end-to-end encryption system, which will allow even greater protection for information, as has already been done in WhatsApp and similar apps.
At the end of May, an experimental project had been made available for testing by everyone on GitHub, but now the company has made this novelty official and, starting in July, everyone will benefit from the new security feature, which will be available on the app in beta version a be released next month.
